As funds are available, improvements and repairs are made to the Hillbrook facilities prior to beginning of the summer camping season. Most improvements are made with volunteer labor and donations. The reservation fees charged by Hillbrook are not enough to cover all of the costs of operating and maintaining the facilities. We rely upon the generous donations of local churches and individuals in order to continue the maintenance and improvement of the facilities.
Also, both bath houses were renovated on the inside
The cost of materials alone was over $20,000 for these renovations. Almost all of the labor was volunteer labor, which saved Hillbrook tens of thousands of dollars in expenses.
